  • The only Castile soap we are aware of made from 100% fair trade, organic and sustainably produced oils ~ Fair trade matters!
  • Earth-friendly ~ Vegan ~ No animal testing ~ Non GMO ~ No destructive palm oils* ~ Thick, creamy lather: a small amount is mild and gentle on the skin! But this is still powerful, all-natural Castile soap: so remember, a little goes a long way! Dilute and do not over-wash and dry out your skin!
  • Biodegradable ~ No detergents ~ No artificial ingredients
  • Made by hand in small batches locally, in Harrisonburg, VA. USA
  • With every purchase, you become a part of BeeTheLight, helping to support our little community, as well as a number of humanitarian projects

We pulled out all the stops on this one. Pure, handmade, vegan, Castile soap of the highest possible quality. This soap is not made in a factory somewhere - this stuff is wonderfully handcrafted and poured in small batches by our tiny USA-based business. We believe in knowing where our products come from and understanding the supply chain that connects us to them. BeeTheLight Castile soaps are made from 100% fair trade and organic oils. As far as we can tell, this is currently the only Castile soap on the market that uses exclusively fairly traded oils. Historically, true Castile soap such as ours would have countless uses in the home – everything from body wash to dish soap to the all-purpose home cleaning solution. Our soaps are also wonderful as a hand soap, face wash or shaving soap! It is truly for any and all purposes!

* If you are concerned about the production of palm oil, we are glad! So are we! We only ever use Palm Done Right, which is certified sustainably grown and never damaging to rainforests or animal habitats

Ingredients: Water, certified fair trade organic and sustainable oils (palm, coconut), potassium hydroxide (none remains after saponification), (if scented, peppermint or lavender or orange essential oil)

Nice Organic, Biodegradable Soap

BeeTheLight Castile soap is made from organic oils (palm, etc.). The soap lathers reasonably, and seems to clean well. It's biodegradable. This seems like a high-quality soap, free of artificial fragrances. Love it! Highly recommended!

Lightweight and Runny, Mild, Near Odorless; Multipurpose

The BeeTheLight Castile Soap is an extremely lightweight, runny, virtually odorless multipurpose product comprised of 100% fair trade organic oils and responsibly sourced/harvested palm oil (“palm done right”), made in the USA. The 8oz clear plastic bottle retails for ~$8 as of this writing, which I found to be more than fair, given the quality and use of the “soap.” Says “unscented” which means they’ve not added fragrance or any natural enhancers like essential oils. It is very neutral (smelling) and extremely mild. This multipurpose soap can be used for all sorts of applications including hand washing, overall body hygiene, and states it is baby friendly (aka tear free). It is already pretty runny, but you can always water down the concentration and it will still be effective. Generates a little lather. Overall, I am pleased with the use, quality, and performance of the Castile Soap. It is one of the nicest brands/soap-free soaps I’ve tried. No irritation. No harsh fragrances or fillers. Suitable for all skin types and users.

Works great but $$ and the picture is misleading make sure you get the correct size

This light castille soap is great. The soap is clear and very thin consistency. Other castille soaps I've used have often been cloudy in color and thicker. Because it is thinner it mixes well and is particularly good in foam dispensers. Because it is clear when you make something with it your solutions are clear and look better than the muddy castille soap brands. This makes it more attractive in a clear container/dispenser. The soap cleans well but does not dry out my hands like Bronner's castille soap. It actually seems like a diluted version of Bronner's and is more expensive per ounce. I do like that this soap is unscented and does not give me any irritation issues. So it is good for people with allergies or skin sensitivities. The only big issue is that I got a 8 oz size but the picture shows a gallon size. This is misleading and if you aren't paying attention you could get the wrong size.

Good in the garden

I personally can’t use Castile soap on my skin, I find it burns me but I’ve used it in my garden for years with great luck. I use a tablespoon in a quart spray bottle to rid the garden of pests, works especially good on aphids. I also add Neem oil to the mix rather then use pesticides. This is good quality Castile at a decent price. Pleased with this brand. Recommend

Versitile soap

This is a gentle, plant-based soap with lots of cleaning power. I have been using it at my kitchen sink for dishwashing and for hand washing, but it can be used for most cleaning jobs around the house including body wash and shampoo. The soap is unscented, cleans great, and is not harsh.
